As many of you know. We here at Tanner Goods are pleasantly obsessed with the beautiful aging qualities that leather can bestow upon a patient wearer. Few materials aside from denim are able to withold so much character and history on their exterior. With a bit of wabi sabi everything will look better with age. Fresh out of production is the newest version of our classic Standard Belt, now available in London Tan. The finish on this leather is amazing – it has a rich auburn hue to it and takes color and oils extremely well, on-par with our Natural Standard Belt.
Like our other Standard Belts, the London Tan is cut from superior 9/10 oz latigo strap leather. This is the same grade they use for high end horse tack and saddelry, and will last for years to come. It’s now available for purchase in our online store and @ HECKLEWOOD in Portland, Oregon.
We’re excited to premier a new series of TANNER GOODS product, constructed from premium hard-to-find materials and produced in extremely limited quantities.
For the first offering in our Premium Series, we managed to pull a few strings and secure one hide of “Elephant” Print leather. Featuring a contrasting light and dark gray texture, this full-grain 3 oz. leather is top notch.

We’ll have better shots soon, but here’s a sneak peak at our latest project we collaborated on with our Old Town neighbors from the Compound Gallery. Produced for the “CIty of Roses” launch in Tokyo last week, we were extremely excited to participate and bring a piece of Portland overseas.
Unfortunately, these pieces will be next to impossible to get your hands on [unless your a Tokyo resident and attended the launch.] Limited to 10 pieces each in natural, brown, and black; the real icing on the cake is the cast silver Compound logo and silver key ring.

We’ve just added our new collection of Satchel Bags, and are really pleased with how they’ve turned out. We’ve been meticulously updating this style for what seams like ages now, and there’s a lot of subtle upgrades for this release.
First, we’ve designed and custom fasteners that rivet the strap to the body of the bag. These nickel-plated aluminum grommets were concieved in-house, and in keeping with the TANNER ethos, they’re machined right here in Portland. No outsourcing.
We’ve also redesigned the bag closure, modeling it closely after loop and strap systems common in military applications. It makes for a simple, yet very secure way to fasten the satchel closed.
And last but not least, we’ve added a removable leather insert for each bag. These snap in and out with ease, and feature a large zippered compartment as well as pouches for a power adapter, mouse, and multiple pens. Even in the portrait version, the insert can fit letter sized documents.
